Harwich Pet Supply Celebrates 10th Anniversary

January 15, 2004 - Harwich Pet Supply, located on Great Western Road in Harwich, is celebrating ten years in business this winter. Doug Walker opened his business back in 1994 and the business has been growing and diversifying to satisfy his customers ever since. "We started ten years ago with one aisle of pet food and minimal pet supplies and now we have every inch of our 4800 square foot store filled with customer requested items", commented Doug Walker, owner of Harwich Pet Supply.

The past decade has been challenging for small retail businesses, but Harwich Pet Supply has succeeded in remaining competitive with the large warehouse type operations by offering impeccable customer service. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and readily available to answer any questions or special requests customers may have. Not only does Harwich Pet Supply carry a wide range of pet foods and supplies, they also carry small live animals such as mice, ferrets, rabbits and fish. A variety of less common pocket pets can also be special ordered. "We do not carry cats, dogs or birds and highly recommend our customers seeking them to go to local shelters. We do not like nor promote impulse pet purchases, which often leads to unwanted or neglected pets".
